Dear Blosser Lane Families and Friends,

We had another terrific week of learning. Just a reminder that all students are entitled to either free breakfast or brunch, and free lunch. Also, please check out the clothes rack in the cafeteria for any lost or missing items. Many students are leaving their sweaters and jackets on campus.

Next Monday, September 16, 2019 begins our after-school Chess Club. This club will be under the guidance of Mr. Tom Minjiras, our Counseling Enriched Class teacher; permission slips were sent home this week. Please be aware that next Tuesday, September 17, 2019 will not be an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 2:40 p.m.

Save the date for our first PTO meeting of the new school year, Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. in the library. Also, we have a K-5 Site Council meeting planned for Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Blosser Lane in room 17 at 3:00 p.m.; we hope you will consider being a member of our school site council.

Mark your calendars for some upcoming events:

If you are going to volunteer with WUSD this year you need to have your fingerprints done. The company Print Your Mitts, will be at Brookside Elementary Open House on Thursday at 6 PM until 8. WUSD has a form that the DOJ charges us $32 for us to have processed and Mitt Your Mitts will charge you $30 for their service. If your interested please have 2 checks available to use. We greatly appreciate our volunteers. We don't have any choice on the rules or cost. I would get there early, last year there was a line.
